Listen, I love what I do. Being a psychic medium/intuitive counselor is sacred, beautiful, healing…
But it’s also funny as heck sometimes.
Let’s be real for a second—people often say to me,
Okay, I’m going to tell you something, but you’re probably going to think I’m crazy…
And I always laugh and say,
I’m the one talking to dead people. Trust me, you’re good.
Because in this work, the weird is welcome.
The beautiful often shows up wearing sweatpants.
And the best stories—the ones where you sit back and go, there is no way that just happened—are the ones that make you say:
You can’t make this sh*t up.
And when that happens? That’s usually God.
No, really—imagine this: You’re working with someone who’s just lost a parent, and suddenly in your head a spirit is insistently pointing to a rooftop.
I mean, pointing. Dramatically. Like they’re a real estate agent of the afterlife.
So I say it. I laugh and go,
Okay, this is weird… but someone keeps pointing to a rooftop of a very tall building. Like, nonstop.
My client seems to be turning bright red and starts laughing. Turns out?
She’s quietly getting married next month—on a rooftop in a major city.
(Momma’s spirit RSVP’d before the invites even went out.)
These are the moments where you realize:
The veil may be thin, but the sense of humor crosses over just fine.
⸻
🥔 Yes, Spirit Will Say “Baked Potato”
And then there was the time I started crying during a session—and just as I was holding space, the spirit sent me the image and the word…
“Baked potato.”
I paused. I debated.
Then I said, This might sound crazy, but they just said baked potato really clearly.
The person on the other end of the phone paused…then burst out laughing.
They were literally eating a baked potato at that exact moment.
We both lost it.
Because this work?
It isn’t always about thunderclaps and dramatic whispers.
Sometimes it’s just spirit saying,
“Hey. I see you. And also… you really love carbs.”
⸻
The time I was on the phone with a client when her husband – who had passed –flashed me an image. It was of her in the shower, and the focus zoomed right in on a tattoo she had gotten for him… on her behind. No one else knew about it. She burst out laughing when I described it, and needless to say, we bonded for life after that one! And no – I'll never share her name. ;) haha!
⸻
Another time, I was on the phone with a client, and right before our session started, I had a very vivid experience. I'd been praying – as I always do before connecting with someone –and suddenly, I could taste chocolate. Not just any chocolate – it was smooth, rich, and unmistakably like old-fashioned chocolate. The kind that came in a tin. It was so real I almost looked around to see if I had eaten something without realizing!
So, as soon as we started our call, I mentioned it. I said, You know, something unusual happened while I was praying for you… I started tasting the smoothest chocolate...
She cut me off quickly and said, No no no – I don't know anything about any chocolate.
I could feel there was something there but she clearly didn't want to go down that road. So I let it go, and we carried on. Towards the end of the session, someone showed up – a best friend of hers who had passed. As we talked about her, my client started to laugh and said, Wow! I really miss her fudge! She made the most chocolatey, smooth, delicious fudge, and she’d bring some to me all the time! I don't even remember the last time I tasted that!
I just burst out laughing: Ah-ha! Ha ha! That's what I was tasting!
Sometimes spirit speaks through the senses long before the mind catches up.
🎭 It’s Basically Spiritual Charades Over Here
There are moments I swear I’m smack in the middle of a cosmic game of charades—with a full audience. I usually laugh and tell my clients,
Hold on—I need to close my eyes, slow the energy down, and figure out what the heck I’m looking at.
Because sometimes spirit is just tossing images at me like I’m supposed to magically know what they mean.
An apple, a shoelace, a disco ball, a… is that a raccoon or a fur hat?! It’s like someone chucking a 1000 piece puzzle at my feet, expecting me to put the pieces together instantly! :)
Meanwhile, they’re talking to each other, and I have to gently remind them,
Umm. Hello. Yeah. Excuse me. Hi. I’m over here. Can we focus?
It’s actually hilarious. I think sometimes they forget I can’t hear them like they hear each other. It’s truly exhausting but also entertaining!
They feel so present—like we’re all in the same room.
And really, it’s just like having coffee with friends: me, my client, and a whole bunch of loved ones in spirit gathered around, laughing, remembering, nudging us with love.
It’s weird and beautiful. And I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
⸻
🦅 But What About the Big Signs?
You know, the ones we beg for. The moments we test God like it’s a spiritual talent show.
There’s this story I love about a man who was doubting everything—faith, life, the whole deal.
He was standing on the side of a mountain, looking out across miles of land, and he said:
God, if you’re real… send that eagle flying way up there down here. Have it land on my shoulder. Right now. I’ll believe if you do.
And guess what?
The eagle did come down.
Flew within feet of the man, then soared over his head and back into the sky.
And the man goes:
Yeah, sure.
(Cue divine eyeroll.)
But then… he saw something else.
A dog. Way off in the distance. Running.
That dog ran and ran and eventually stopped—right at his feet.
Laid down. Just like that.
The man started petting the dog and sobbing.
He realized:
God didn’t send what he asked for.
God sent what he needed—companionship, comfort, presence.
And once he got the message? The dog stood up and ran back into the distance.
No one knew where it came from.
But I know.
And if you’ve ever received a sign when you weren’t even looking, you know too.
⸻
🍩 “If I Eat This Donut, He’ll Send a Sign”
We do it. We all do it.
We negotiate with God, spirit, the universe, the ghost of our grandma—
“If I wear the purple shirt, he’ll call.”
“If I see three crows and a butterfly, I’ll know it’s him.”
“If I eat this donut and feel joy, she’s here.”
And maybe… maybe sometimes we’re right.
But other times, we’re just training our brain to find what we focus on.
(Like when my son said, Ma, if I tell you to notice yellow Jeeps, you’ll start seeing yellow Jeeps. Spoiler: I did.)
That’s the power of manifesting meets neuroscience.
We see what we seek.
So seek the good. Look for the love. Expect magic—but be okay with how it shows up.
Not as you insist… but as you need.
⸻
🌈 Laugh First, Cry Later (or at the Same Time)
I love this work.
It’s holy, but it’s messy.
It’s tender, but it’s weird.
It’s profound… and sometimes it smells like baked potatoes.
So the next time you’re wondering if spirit is around—don’t just look up.
Look around.
If you see a rooftop, a carb-heavy lunch, or a random dog laying at your feet…
Just smile.
You’re being loved. You’re being seen.
And the next moment that makes you shake your head and say,
No way. This is too wild to be real…
Just smile and say,
Yep. That’s God. You can’t make this sh*t up.
Because even in energy, our spirit world laughs with us too.

ORACLE WISDOM with MARY'S ROSES
Rose chosen:
Yellow (Daily Action and Motivation to Take Steps Toward Your Goals)
This week, I pulled a yellow Rose!
This is what it said:
Set a clear intention for the day. What do you wish to manifest? Focus on this intention and allow it to guide your actions.
(I promise you, I pull these cards only after I have fully completed my newsletter. I'm always astonished how they flow together!)
Let this be your gentle reminder today: your energy has direction. Take a moment, breathe, and name your intention. It doesn't have to be big – just real. Whether it's peace, clarity, connection, or courage – let it shape your choices and carry you.

"Sometimes spirit speaks through the senses long before the mind catches up."
Loved this and so very true............I often say that I don't hear God the first time. Sometimes, not the second time either. And frequently, God has to use a 2x4 method to smack me alongside the head............then, I go. Oh, yeah! I get it. I see it!!
